Does anyone have anything even resembling a legal opinion on this? The way I read it, it provides for complete preemption (even of prior grandfathered laws) with the exception of Clark County's handgun registration.

This is significant, as it would eliminate the NLV and Boulder City crappola and make this a definite win, as opposed to "meh" about a little time extention on the registration with no other significant effects.

I did see that thread. Maybe this is a dupe, but I was hoping someone had been able to get a decent opinion out of someone in "authority" since the bill was actually passed.

I read it they way Lonnie does, but I'm not ready to go to jail in Boulder City to test it out. (Well, that and it hasn't officially taken effect yet.)

In that case why don't you get in touch with the City Attorney forBoulder City, Dave Olsen, and ask him. His job is to "provide professional representation to the City of Boulder City on legal matters, both civil and criminal."
