...Most importantly, this is a victory for all open-carriers, especially the people of New Orleans Louisiana- a city that obvious cannot dictate who can and cannot carry a firearm and write their own laws on the fly. Many LEA have working arrangements to provide off duty officers as security on private property and yes wearing their customary uniform.Is a police officer allowed to wear his work uniform when not on duty and when being paid by another company to provide security? This seems like something a PD would seriously frown upon as it may misrepresent their department.
