Mass stabbing

A few days ago, Las Vegas had a mass stabbing of three. One died just after, a second died today and the third was severely wounded. They have the idiot murderer in jail. It was a random drug influence action. He just walked up to them three different locations and started stabbing.
Unlike a shooting during stabbings, most have no idea of what is going on until it is over. Often times the victim and bystanders at first believes it is pushing or punching not realizing a deadly lethal attack is being committed in front of them. Giving the bad guy time during the confusion. This mass killing has never made the national news. Where is the uproar over knife laws, knife registrations, and limited knife size? Or government to mandate the manufactures of knifes to attached them to a lock box that loudly screams knife deployed so everyone in area are made aware of the danger. The only difference of this low attention mass killing and the others that makes the national news is the loud bang of a firearm. Obviously those murdered by guns are far more valuable people to the anti gun world. Leads one to believe the anti gun groups level of compassion and sorrow for the loss of life is driven by the ability of the mass murder to bolster their anti gun agenda. An AR or any gun did not make this idiot a mass killer.

Possibly the lack of a side arm made those folks victims.. It has been know that idiots (your word) that bring a knife to a gun fight don't fare so well..

Correct one of the points I was hoping would come to mind as this was read. Living in a society constantly bombarded and intimidated that having a tool to protect oneself from a lethal attach is not and should not be accepted. The main point had the guy used an AR every anti gun group, Hollywood and the big 3 networks talk shows would have been talking about it. If obummer was still in I am sure he would have commented on it.

The main issue is that 2 folks are dead and one is clinging to life. Your hypothetical regarding the anti's while possibly true is irrelevant..
Anti's are going to bitch and protest whenever possible.. Had our three victims been open carrying, the idiot knife welding criminal probably would have picked softer targets.. Had any of the three been armed say CCing, said criminal would probably be dead, and all us supporters of the right to self defense and supporters of the 2nd amendment would be applauding instead of mourning for the unarmed citizens..

Calls to mind the venerable quote from Thomas Paine, to wit.. " Arms discourage and keep the invader and plunder in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property. Horrid mischief would ensue were the law-abiding deprived of the use of them"..

It appears our victims had no desire to protect themselves from the plunderer, they were easy prey for the invader, lest we all learn. if you venture out in the world unarmed, horrid mischief may ensue against you.

I/we can only pray for the victims and for harsh punishment for the plunderer..

at least the allegedly mentally ill suspect is off the street and in police custody.

first, there were only two deaths in the stabbing rampage, one ran and got away!

two, sidearms do not appear to have made a difference unless the victim's SD spider senses were acutely tuned as both victims were alleged stabbed in the back with a 'large' knife by the suspect who walked up behind them out of the blue. one in a convenience store another in an alley.

three, yes tragedy someone died, but how bout the woman who's daughter found her mother in her apartment Sunday dead from multiple stab wounds with the mother's BF, coach & corrections something or other, bleeding from self inflected stab wounds. IMHO same level of tragedy, yet you didn't mention it why?

four, that the tragedy failed to elicit national attention...yes it is a a shame and a crisis ~ but only from the perspective it does not address the mental health issues, lack therein, currently going in our great land.

five, fortunately, the suspect is in a place where his mental health issues will now be treated and while our Fed and State level legislatures refuse to pay the cost of mental health treatment for our citizens, two people died and the taxpayers of the great state of NV are now footing the bill for the man's psychotropic meds ~ for the rest of his life!!

want national attention push that to NV's state legislative members!!
