Since Halloween is under 48 hours away, was curious what everyone has planned regarding the evening's activities.

I'm gonna be participating in my city's trunk-or-treat, handing out candy/goodies at city hall. My idea is to be costumed as a responsibly armed citizen.

We’ll be celebrating also Milady Wife’s 85th Birthday with friends while watching the door for any parents faithful enough to tradition to avoid pathetic alternatives to Trick or Treat. Our population is of such low density that parents drive the kids and after dark.

We will be playing our local board game that we call Uff-da Marbles for which I received an early Gift.IMG_0829.jpeg

Now that is spooky. You know that is going to to scare the parents.

I live in a small, farming community that enjoys hunting & fishing. Our local bar, which is owned by the city clerk/Treasurer, had a hunter's breakfast.

The scaring of the parents would be more likely if I lived along the I-5 corridor in Western Washington. Living in Eastern Washington does have it's perks for those that OC.

Like Firearms Instructor, I open carry every day so seeing me armed is nothing new in my Town. My "costume" is always a tailed tuxedo with a 7.5 inch Ruger Blackhawk in a western holster.

But you live in a town where everyone knows everyone. And if you don't know them, you know someone who does know them.:)

I sit on the Town Counsel, I am very active in the community and Yes, everyone knows me. It is not just my Town though. I just attended a conference of Montana Cities and Towns, where over fifty C&Ts were represented. I open carried throughout the three day conference and nobody batted an eye. Common here.

The city's Trunk-or-treat went well. Several community members showed up to help in the festivities.

Thanks to the crazy weather, I ended up wearing a jacket & cc'd for a majority of the time.
