So as a member of the blue, were all those you interrogated, er questioned, during your interactions with your community's citizens guilty?

They weren't? Wow sure doesn't explain why you stopped them to question them if they weren't guilty now does it?

Like the good olde boy blue network across this nation with LEOSA privilege, [uh this federal mandate was pass'd cuz?] the Land of Disenchantment is full of this type of statutory & good olde boy inconsistency and local/state level LE, A&G agents, ad nauseam, don't care one iota...

just one of those things for you to ponder, like the purpose of the LEOSA ~ see what I mean?

I posted many times on these boards that it was a law I disagreed with even though I benefitted from it. My Congresscritter at the time (a pro gun Republican) voted against HR218 and I applauded him for it. Creating special classes of people should not be happening in an alleged free country.

Prior to Wisconsin passing concealed carry (which is flawed but better than we had prior) I would open carry off duty as a form of solidarity with my fellow citizens who could not legally conceal. This was how I discovered OC.ORG. Now that they can Conceal I find it redundant for me to get a CCL when I don’t need to.

I don’t think I am being overly incredulous about the situation in New Mexico. It’s quite screwy.

BTW, we otherwise enjoyed our visit. Spent 2 weeks putting well over 1000 miles on a rental. We were all over the state, did the Billy the Kid Trail, White Sands, the caverns, Santa Fe, etc.. Had been over 20 years since I had been down there.

Yes to all. And we visited Roswell on our way to Clovis (have a friend there). My friend and I both had several weeks of paid time off that we had to use or lose. So we spent two weeks of it in New Mexico. It’s something we both talked about doing for the last 2 years. We each have friends there, some of them moved there after retirement, some are still in the service. So on top of the sights we got to catch up with old friends.

Mr. CACA BACA has no legal right to supercede State 2A Laws no matter who the **** he thinks he is.

"Wrong Way Ray" Alborn, past Mayor of Ruidoso, NM thought he was going to pull that same shit too, until there came an armed standoff with LEOs up in Ruidoso. Accosting a Tony Seno for entering a government building open carrying. Which is legal as well in NM.

Some might remember a nice little incident in Alamogordo, at the Aviator 10 Theater, St John was concealed carrying, no signage, nor did he break any laws, active military as well, and was accosted by Alamogordo Police, strong armed out of the theater, had his firearm taken from him, then given back, and told he may not enter the establishment with that firearm.

He sued the city and won. A small amount grant you ($21K) only because he didn't wish to take things further.

pkbites, I am sorry you missed the entire gist of my post, CoL’s post, and especially solus’ posts...

POSTED BY ORDER OF ALCOHOL AND GAMING DIVISION
NEW MEXICO REGULATION AND LICENSING DEPARTMENT – 15.11.2.10 NMAC

The A & G division has been allowed by the State’s good old boy politicians to do whatever they want to do, even eliminate uniformity in the State’s statutes, which is further exacerbated by the wussie DPS Sr. Management not having enough political clout to push back on the good old boy cohorts.

Further, pkbites you missed that there are three signs at the bottom of CoL’s cite, the landowner is but one!

The business owner is told by A&G they must have one of these signs posted! So they post them to keep their license w/o a clue the signs contravene other State statutes! They see a citizen with a firearm and immediately call LEs, who then arrest the firearm carrying citizen, not for trespassing, but violation of A&G statutes, which is a FELONY offense.

As for NM recognizing FLs privilege, resident & non-resident. It surprises me since NM’s AG has insisted other states must have the same standards as NM’s concealed qualifications, including a live-fire qual, NM citizens must score a minimum of 72% higher than LEs

Now, pkbites, please you and your cohort ignore the signs but realize if hassled, you will not be charged for trespass but a felony for violating A&G statutes, and your vacation $$$$ will be used for legal defense.

Finally...get caught carrying on pueblo lands...even the interstates that run through their lands...
I've read through A&G's little over 1" thick handbook a number of times.
I saw no difference in what laws were for the varying types of alcohol licenses in the state.

Meaning the Gov Licenses that the City of Alamogordo holds has no different rules-regulations as any other licensed business. Same shit no matter what.

The city of Alamogordo is basically run by a bunch of lib suck-hole pussies who cowtow to Santa Fe like dummies, and has been for a long time. For example, the then past city manager (now deceased) ceased all Gun Shows held at he Civic Center due to attaining the Gov Liquor License. I argued those points with both my immediate boss who ran the Civic Center, and that manager, but got nowhere with either of them.

All the while, the Ruidoso Convention Center, which holds the exact same Gov Liquor License holds a minimum of 3 Gun Shows a year there.

Full blown Liquor License in NM, costs about $300K. A gov License in NM was then about $1500-$1600/yr. forget which?

In a Bar-Tavern, no carry period, unless hired certified security, Police in the action of their duties,or perhaps you're the owner of the establishment.

Supposedly, no local, city, county, municipal law shall supercede NM State law in regards to 2A laws.
The A&G division is basically a crock of shit.

This is a very confusing post. You seem to contradict yourself. Is the A&G Division a "local, city, county, municipal" agency or is it a state agency? Is the A&G Division regulation a "local, city, county, municipal law" or a state regulation?

State. But even they cannot supercede state constitution which rules supreme. Of course they'd like to, all in the interest of money in somebody's pockets.

MarkD51 the membership has endured your ‘understand(s)’, ‘they cannot...’, ‘supposedly...’, ‘no legal right...’, ‘ which is legal in NM!’, rhetoric commentary without one cite to provide clarity to your rambling word rhetoric!

Further you reference a NM civil suit without background nor quantifiable association to the thread whatsoever!

And Jim Boca’s tenure which ended in 2001 - 18 years ago, and as ABQ’s mayor was no better nor worse than any other NM politicians, community, city, state level, so it’s germane to the thread so the point ?

Well then, carry on fine membership, sorry my comments held no worth.

No MarkD51, sorry but when you consistently proffer hearsay w/o cites you do a serious disservice to advocates as well those who read and use the hearsay gossip as ammo against the advocates, for example...

yo, ya’al heard on a prominent gun advocacy forum said this and that and a carry lawsuit caused leaders to do that...all ambiguous w/o cite.

Think about it..
