UN Small Arms treaty passes in silence

Yes that is right the UN resolution on small arms passed with out any notice, Hillary Clinton signed in favor of the passage. There has already been talk of it being implemented here as soon as the election comes to a close.
No matter what happens we are looking at a complete loss of our 2A, and will be faced with gun confiscations in the future if this moves forward as it has thus far. I hope we have good people fighting in the courts for us, but
I am not optimistic of the outcome. I am bringing this up because I find this information disturbing, and sad. I felt it was important for everyone to be aware that it passed, and that there is a very real serious threat to individual
gun owners. If ever a time to contact by letter any one you know in office, and appose this, now is the time to do it.

the only phrase that comes to mind for me is if I am not violating my legal rights then you can take em from my cold dead hands! However it looks like a import ban, and expensive ammo may result in the same outcome.
If they can price guns out of our hands then we wont have them, so keep that in mind to, as the small arms treaty seems to ban lead ammunition.

Flag on the play...

Yes that is right the UN resolution on small arms passed with out any notice, Hillary Clinton signed in favor of the passage.

And what is the source of this disinformation? Hillary can sign anything she wants, but it has no effect until signed by Obummer (no problem there) and ratified by the U.S. Congress. Our hope is that Congress will not allow usurpation of the Constitution, since they all took the "Oath of Office" - to wit:
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God. (emphasis added)
I can find nothing in recent news to support the rest of your claim that:
No matter what happens we are looking at a complete loss of our 2A, and will be faced with gun confiscations in the future if this moves forward as it has thus far. I hope we have good people fighting in the courts for us, but I am not optimistic of the outcome.
I don't completely disagree with you there, but I believe we will be looking at the probable loss of our 2A, and then our entire Constitution, which will undoubtedly be replaced by the United Nations "Universal Declaration of Human Rights" (insert "For evil to triumph..." quote here). In that declaration you will find Article 29, which says:
Article 29.

  • (1) Everyone has duties to the community in which alone the free and full development of his personality is possible.
  • (2) In the exercise of his rights and freedoms, everyone shall be subject only to such limitations as are determined by law solely for the purpose of securing due recognition and respect for the rights and freedoms of others and of meeting the just requirements of morality, public order and the general welfare in a democratic society.
  • (3) These rights and freedoms may in no case be exercised contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations. (emphasis added)
The UN giveth, and the UN taketh away! What it says to me is that the people, "can exercise their 'rights' only to the point that we, the UN, permits". The Imperial Masters have spoken - long live the empire, and long live the Emperor, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon!

Hillary is a loose cannon... as is the entire Obama Administration, whose apparent intent is to turn our Republic into a socialist state. The "socialist state" aspect was actually initiated by JFK in September of 1961, when he initiated a correspondence (shortly thereafter to become known as "Department of State Publication 7277"), supporting the development of a "One World Government" (or NWO if you prefer that term), under the control of the United Nations (there's a total waste of oxygen). If nothing else, one can always depend on the consistency of direction the Democrats will take... convincing the weak-minded and the indolent that modern day slavery (under the UN) will be a good thing! :uhoh: Pax...

Re: U.N. Small Arms Treaty Passes??

There is NO truth to this. Apparently there was some sort of misunderstanding that allowed this rumor to propogate. Make no mistake people, there is NO truth to this rumor. Even the White House is bound by the laws and must obey the Constitution. The U.N. Treaty must be ratified by at least a 2/3 vote, and it never got that far.

Technically, the Senate doesn't "ratify treaties" either. From www.senate.gov:
The Senate does not ratify treaties—the Senate approves or rejects a resolution of ratification. If the resolution passes, then ratification takes place when the instruments of ratification are formally exchanged between the United States and the foreign power(s).

Thanx Grape for bringing some sensibility to the unfortunate misinformed masses.

+1 !

This is not the first time someone has posted this garbage. I would strongly suggest that any rumors that you may hear be investigated thoroughly before posting.

I dont see this getting past congress. However, if our tyrannous president continues his streak of executive orders, he will just sign it in like he is trying to do for the cyber security bill.

What a bunch of excrement! Ain't happening.

Take 2 "assault rifles" to the range and blow off 500 round of ammo in the morning, you'll feel much better (works every time!!)

My response to the bs-slinging will be to buy a new M1A in Hillary's honor, and some good mil-spec sniper ammo. Very soothing therapy indeed.

I first heard this from a Blaze article it did not go in depth but they some times get things spun like the big media does every single day.

Not wasting my time here.
I dunno, after Bush and Obama passing the Patriot act, and Obama signing the NDAA and the health care bill, I really don't have ANY faith in them protecting/upholding the constitution.

None whatsoever.
