Isn’t this the precise danger many of us warned about as the technology was being introduced?

I was given an Alexa as a Christmas gift some years ago by someone who had them throughout the house, controlling everything, including the shades. I had little use for her, and found her AI to stand for Artificial Idiocy. (This actually makes her more dangerous in that she might report non-crimes!)

I disconnected her in short order. Since she was supposed to be an intelligent being, was that murder?

I also set Siri on my Watch, iPhone, and iPad to start listening only after a button press. Don’t forget that the default is that she is also constantly listening to everything you do.

Since i’m not mentally or physically infirm, figure i can close the shades, control the lighting, and make/answer my own fone calls!

Ya i watched the jetsons and decided then it was lunacy!
