yes, also in ID, WY, OR (except in Portland metro area, and Astoria), WA (except not in a vehicle, but no other restrictions other than jails, MH, courtrooms)

somewhere on this site there is a rundown by state, the link maps are covered by an add now. Best to read those writeups.

Montana's is at www.opencarry.org/mt/html

I believe you forgot to mention AK, AZ, KY, NC, NM, NV, SD, VA, VT (all "Gold Star" states) as well the "OC Friendly" states of AL, CO, DE, KS, LA, ME, MI, MO, NH, OH, PA, WI, & WV. Of course (as mentioned) each of these states may have their own unique restrictions (beyond federal law) as to where you can NOT carry within their state.

Thanks, will be moving to Montana some day and need to know the laws before my wife and I do.

Let me know if you have any specific questions. We could meet up in wa also... I used to live in MT, still make several trips a year and will be moving back. So I like to think I know the laws in MT fairly well.

You'll Love it here. I, too, moved here from WA a little over two years ago. Definitely join the Montana Shooting Sports Association, led by Gary Marbut. Membership is only around $20 or $25 and Gary Marbut works extremely hard to preserve our Second and Tenth Amendment Rights here in Montana and across the Nation. We have him to thank for the Firearms Freedom Act!
