All these news outlets are on the WWW, but they write their stories like the only people that read their articles are local. Just like the above story. Something happened in San Jose. San Jose where, what state? There is San Jose, Calf. - San Jose, AZ - San Jose, NM and San Jose, ILL. How about Cincinnati? Seven states have cities named Cincinnati. Or Columbus, nine states.

I hate to tell you, but a lot of people were never learned geography. Years ago I was talking to a traffic manager who never heard of Louisville, KY. nor the Kentucky Derby including Churchill Downs. I have met many that don't even know where they live. They live by a big city and believe they live in that city, but don't. This is not uncommon.

My point is when I go to read an article (TV or newspaper) it should clearly tell me EXACTLY where they are located or where the incident took place. Just one of my pet peeves. I can tell you one of our local TV stations will have headlines saying things like "Three killed in auto accident on Vine St." The problem is the Vine ST. they are referring to is four states away.
