I'm sure those Amish folks out your way would make a double-thick belt for not much more than a standard.

Exactly, Brian......I've already stopped by and inquired.

He, (Melvin), said he'd make me a double layered one, double stitch it and use snaps on the buckle end if I wanted to change buckles later.........for $35 !

Heck the single layer belt I have from him is about 1/4" thick by itself so he said he'd use a little thinner leather as a second layer or it would be darn near a 1/2" thick

I "think" he's giving me a break on it as I buy all my shoes and other things off him and have patronized him and his dad for years.

Think I'll stick with my source.:)
