I was just curious if anyone knows of any elected/appointed government officials (not counting County Sheriffs/Constables) that regularly open carry??

I served two terms as a state representative in New Hampshire. Open carry in the House chamber wasn't allowed as a matter of decorum, but during lunch breaks across the street when jackets came off, many R reps were OCing, and more than a few D reps were as well.

At least I know I'm not the only one here in the forum. Up until recently, I've been a city council member, & until it got changed where OC was disallowed during city council meetings, I regularly OC'd.

Reason for saying "Up until recently" is because our Mayor resigned, & as I was Mayor Pro Tempore at the time, I was asked to step up to become Mayor, by both the former Mayor & a quorum of the city council.

I was quite active in washington state until I could no longer stand it. I now live in Montana in a very small Town in the rocky Mountains. I routinely open carry to the point that some call me "John 45". I now sit on the Philipsburg Town Council and I open carry during any meetings and Town business. Permits are not required for open or concealed carry as a rule.

and No, you are not alone mnrobitaille

below is a link to Montana Open Carry on MeWe. I got run off fazeboog years ago
