We are now running on a new, and hopefully much-improved, server. In addition we are also on new forum software. Any move entails a lot of technical details and I suspect we will encounter a few issues as the new server goes live. Please be patient with us. It will be worth it! :)
Please help by posting all issues here.
The forum will be down for about an hour this weekend for maintenance. I apologize for the inconvenience.
This was just one of the reasons I left Washington. I move away to Montana where open carry is a norm. I went to Town Council meetings, armed, for a year before taking a seat on the Council. I open carry during meetings and the population supports it and me. Constitutional carry too.
I remember when seattle did that, years ago. We drove down there and stood on streetcorners, like a bunch of hookers, waiving cash. I took home a half dozen firearms to include a WWI german battle rifle to a 30-30 Winchester lever made in 1949. Total cash output was US$275. A grand day.
I attended. No, I am not running for a State level position, I already occupy a seat on my Town Council. As a matter of fact myself, two other Council members and the Mayor brought our wives (and my sister) to the debates, the mixer and the banquet. I open carried a 1911 (nothing new there) and...

I live in a very small (pop under a thousand) town in Montana that most call a "tourist/visitor attraction. We get people from all over the world visiting us. I open carry a well holstered 1911 at all times and The only reaction is people taking my picture. I was cutting the grass in the front...

A letter of condemnation will be in the next paper. I am backed by three out of four Councilmen. One cannot see past the "gun" and missises the Freedom part entirely.
Well it seems to be coming to a head. The Library read a resolution to ban this past tuesday meeting. I, and others will be at the next meeting to run it down.
Old thread, new situation. At the last Town Council meeting the Librarian gave her report. On her agenda was the Libraries recommendation to BAN Open Carry in the Library ( a few have complained). We have requested her to come back and justify this attempt.
The fact that almost sixty three...
On 4 JULY 2021, In Philipsburg Montana. In the most Patriotic State in the USA, the Declaration was read in public. This should be done in every town, in every State in the Union, every Independence Day.
Yeppers, my walmart, in Butte, has a "no firearms" sign. I have walked past it many times with my 1911 on my hip. No comments from anyone. Corporate may require it, but Montana ignores it
Well the "threat of physical violence" was immediately followed by an "act of physical violence" as I grabbed him by the throat. The timing of that act was proper not only in my opinion, but that of the Montana Code Annotated and the Attorney General.
I did meet with the AG and I was...
I will be visiting with the AG today. Hopefully he is just uninformed as to the circumstances. It will either be over today or we shall be getting difficult.
Well, a new development.
The "adversary" and I both want to drop this. The AG wants to hold a "deferred prosecution" over MY head, for a YEAR for my comments. He has not yet contacted me with this information.
This will not happen. I will not tolerate being accused of assault when I was...
